With over 25 years of experience in the media industry, Stephan Lethaus is a visionary and committed professional who has worked in various key positions, from animation to production. His career is characterized by a unique blend of creative flair, business acumen, and deep technical understanding.
As an experienced artist who has worked hands-on in production, Stephan brings a profound knowledge of production processes. This technical expertise allows him to lead projects not only from a manager's perspective but also with the understanding of a practitioner.
In his ten-year tenure as the founder and managing director of an animation studio, he has proven that he can lead a team and deliver high-quality productions that are still broadcasted in children's television today. His work as Creative Producer for ZDF children's programming and S-RTL highlights his ability to create content that is both engaging and educationally valuable.
His outstanding work has been repeatedly recognized and awarded – he was nominated for the Grimme Prize and has won the "Goldener Spatz" and the Silver Dragon of Beijing.
In 2011, the founding of the Human Interface Network GmbH marked the realization of the project "melmao – Echte Freunde," a vision of a child-friendly, ad-free, and safe social network for children. This project demonstrates his commitment to innovative and socially responsible media production.
Since 2015, he has been working as a freelance line producer and producer for international projects with a focus on animation. In 2016, he successfully published his first fantasy novel, "Das magische Erbe der Ryujin," showcasing his versatility and talent as a storyteller.
With his current position as Head of Production at Wolkenlenker GmbH and as Creative Producer at Digedags Entertainment GmbH, which he joined in 2018, he continues his career with the same passion and commitment that have made him a stalwart in the media landscape.
